Conference Recording

Record conference calls with optional transcription and custom file formats.

Conference Recording allows you to capture audio from your conference calls for compliance, training, or archival purposes. You can start and stop recordings dynamically during a conference, and optionally enable real-time transcription.

Important: Recording can be started at any time during the conference and will capture audio from all participants until explicitly stopped or the conference ends.

Recording Features

Multi-Track Recording

Record all conference participants in a single mixed audio file.

Transcription

Enable automatic speech-to-text transcription with timestamps.

File Formats

Choose from MP3 or WAV format for your recording output.

Secure Storage

Recordings are stored securely and accessible via HTTPS URLs.

Best Practices

1. Legal Compliance

Ensure you have consent from all participants before recording. Laws vary by jurisdiction. Consider playing an announcement at the start of recording.

2. Storage Management

Download and archive recordings to your own storage system. Recording URLs may have expiration policies depending on your account settings.

3. Quality Settings

Use WAV format for highest quality, MP3 for smaller file sizes. Enable transcription for searchability and accessibility.

4. Error Handling

Always verify recording has started successfully before proceeding. Handle cases where recording fails to start or stops unexpectedly.

Tip: You can retrieve recording details and download URLs from the Call Detail Records (CDR) API after the conference ends.
